Well between school work and other things, I have finally upgraded downgraded to Xenserver from VMware. The reason behind switching hypervisors was to use virtual desktops and live migration for free. We have taken a hit in performance I think, but it is uncertain at this time. Having had my first lockup minutes after setting things up, I can honestly say that Xenserver is going to cause me much grief in the later days to come. Anyway all services have been restored. Phones, TF2 database, etc. So I guess this is all I have to report. Also I have installed a chat manager but have not configured it yet for the Minecraft server. Also I am setting the age limit on new players of the server to 14 years old. Just to be safe, me and all of the other players are sick of whiny kids asking for crap and griefing each other. So yeah that is new. Basically I am trying to undo what I have done to deserve this mess.
May services on AGOA have been down for the past week. It was my fault. I broke my server, and only brought up some services, but I am working on it. School was kind of busy this week, and it is finally Friday, and I will hopefully have everything up soon. I have a server being delivered today, and I need to go and pick up some new HDD’s. So far the bill for my mistakes is around $700. Hopefully this is what it is going to cost to get everything fixed! Anyway, I’ll try to get everything back up soon.
-Secondary Minecraft Server
-Test servers and Pamplin Media test database
But I expect everything to be up in a few days. If not, it will be resolved by Thanksgiving.
